6 Weeks Without My Model 3 – Tesla Service And A Model S

My Model 3 needed repairs back in July. Now, 6 weeks later, I am still driving my (second) Model S. Does that make Tesla Service awesome that they let me use a more expensive car for over a month, or sad that Model 3 parts are so scarce it took that long to get one part?

My Tesla Model 3: Window Tint Before And After

Finally got around to having the windows tinted on my Tesla Model 3. Video starts showing the before then the after. Skip to 1:35 to see the before and after shots (before on left). Went 30% on the doors and 50% on the rear window. I could have gone darker, but since I wanted to do a single piece on the rear window I didn’t want to go too dark there since it’s already factory tinted. I didn’t tint the moon roof since it already came tinted and I didn’t really want it any darker.

Ended up being $600 out the door with ceramic LLumar tint, but could have saved $50 to only tint the rear window part-way. I think the tint makes the aero wheels look a lot better.

My Tesla Model 3: Things I Didn’t Know

I’ve had my Model 3 for almost 2 weeks now and have found several things I wasn’t expecting or didn’t know about, not all of it good. Luckily some of them can be fixed with software, but others may need to wait for the “2019 Model 3”.

Sorry for the light change part way through. Clouds came in and video quality dove. 😦

The Cetus3D MKII comes with three print nozzles in the box, a rarity for 3D printers at this price point. Is there any reason to switch from .4mm?

All prints are done at the fine quality, at the minimum and maximum layer heights for each nozzle, and printing times ranged from 35 minutes to 12 hours.

We unbox and give an overview of the base level DJI Mavic Air. This is a clear step above the DJI Spark while having most of the features present in the DJI Mavic Pro. It’s also includes a few accessories that you would need to pony up for on the Spark, namely the controller and propeller guards. This makes it only $250 more than the Spark Fly More Combo.
